Rolltide and Braves.

Well, even though we are going to be a bit loaded for awhile we've still managed to throw some fun in there. Mitch and I get to enjoy a wonderful FREE Braves game in September. Apparently the Braves will give you a free ticket for your birthday! Since Mitch and I are both in March, we decided to take our freebie. And we have that Monday off for Labor Day. Yippie. Even though they aren't the best seats, we'll take them. The less fortunate can't be so picky. Also we found some good tickets to an Alabama football game in Tuscaloosa. Mitch swooped in at the last minute and got them pretty cheap. My little eBay expert. Even though we had to click on all the help buttons to figure out what we were supposed to do. Oh well, we've got a nice September planned out. I hope this is interesting enough for you mom. :) Also, I would keep blogging but there is a huge storm and I'm afraid the lightning will come through the computer and electrocute me.

School and work.

Mitch started school today. It was depressing. I'm so used to getting up and going to work with Mitch. I fiddled around forever because I forgot I wasn't supposed to be waiting on him. But once I got a hold of myself, I took myself to work. Luckily, I don't start school until next week. :) But it's going to be a busy semester for both of us. Mitch goes to school from 9 to 10:50 and work from 11:30 to 7 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. School from 8 to 1 and work from 1:30 to 8 on Tuesday and Thursday. I'll go to work from 7 to 5 and school from 5:30 to 8 on Monday and Wednesday. Work from 7 to 12:30 and school from 1 to 8 on Tuesday and Thursday.  Crazy schedule. But at least we always have the weekends off! Mitch and I try to keep our glass half full.

Fantasy Football.

Mitch is so excited to be starting his Fantasy Football League. He's always wanted to play one and now he got all his buddies to play with him. So we had a little draft get together. :) Mitch and Mike did their draft and talked trash the whole time. And we played with the baby and I cooked a nice dinner (I just forgot to take a picture of the actual food). So it was fun, Mitch and I don't have many "married" friends, so it's nice to get together with them. :) Mike and Kayla have the prettiest baby, she just smiles and smiles. Mufasa just didn't know what to think of her..he's such a jealous dog. Haha.

Entertainment for the Poor.

Well, Mitch and I are quite easily entertained. Mitch went to Walmart and came back with Zoo Animals, Silly Putty, and a bouncy ball. A grand total of about five bucks and a weeks' worth of fun! I completed my World's Smallest Puzzle this week, which really was tiny--but fun. We turned our exploding zoo animals in to a competition, of course. We throw a capsule in the warm water and both pick what we think it's going to be! I was in the lead with one guess correct, but had the last two mixed up. So Mitch won in the last stretch...oh well, we'll have a rematch when we go get the Farm Animals.

Bills are the Devil.

So I kind of got out of my habit of balancing the checkbook, bad idea. I'm one of those people who has to start completely over if I stop in the middle of something..So I got out all the receipts, bank statements, the Box, and got a new checkbook ledger. But, at least everything is written in the same pen. :)

Our file box, everything has a folder and is perfectly organized. Best thing ever.

SPAGHETTI!

I finally attempted to make another decent meal. So I tried my hand at spaghetti..and it actually turned out great. I just think next time I'll lay off the tomatoes because Mitch and I aren't big tomato fans. So I guess I'll fiddle with the recipe a little next time. The other thing is I swear I used four different pans just to make it! What a mess..I also forgot to make some tea, so at the last minute I sent Mitch to the store to grab some drinks--so that's why there are coke bottles on the table. Nice entree with plastic bottles. Haha. But, I did remember to turn off the oven and all the burners. So I'm gettin gmuch better. Yay!

Simplicity.

Our life is simple. I get up every morning at 6:02 to take Mufasa out..then I get jump back in bed. When we finally get up, he takes a shower while I pack our lunch. I take a shower and get ready for work. We work from eight to fourish. Mitch lets Mufasa out when we get home, I fiddle around cleaning and fixing our messes and whatnot. We watch a little TV and snack. We eat some kind of dinner and watch a movie. Yes, we have our Netflix and we love it. Then we're in bed by ten or eleven. It's great.

Mufasa's cute self steals pillows and we don't know for what reason our picture just decided to fall.

Redneck Fest.

So we were invited to go to Country on Beale by our buddies..fun right? It was probably the largest group of rednecks Beale Street had ever seen. I don't see how they fit so many people in Handy Park. It was way to crowded to even be enjoyable. Mitch and I could only stay for probably 45 minutes..it was awful. There were wayyy too many kids down there. I'm not sure how some parents come to the conclusion that it's okay to take their seven year olds with them while they party. It was ridiculous. I felt bad for the poor kids having to hang around all that crap. So in the future, Mitch and I won't go to another Country on Beale and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Movies.

Mitch and I haven't been to the movies in forever. So Mitch took me to go see the new Harry Potter. It was sold out when we got there, so we had almost two hours to waste. I think we spent a good ten bucks in the arcade. Deer hunter, racing, and Mrs. Pacman+Harry Potter+Huey's=a perfect Sunday afternoon. :)
