:)

Instead of wrapping present I decided to finally hang stuff on the wall. I probably should have planned it a little better, but my boredom got the best of me. But this is the first apartment I've actually tried to decorate. Of course I still have to put pictures in the frames--all the generic pretty people are still in there. Hah. Now all I need to do is make a trip to IKEA to get a two book shelves. I also have to make my throw pillows for the couches. There really isn't an actual color scheme or anything. Just randomness. But I think it all flows. At least it looks like me. :) I'll put pictures of the rest of the place when I get it done.

Haha..

This is our dog--watching The Godfather Part III. He went right up to the the TV as soon the music started and has been there for about 20 minutes now. :)

Hello baby.

Say hello to baby! These are the first ultrasound pictures. So here's the first look at your new grandbaby, great grandbaby, nephew/niece, or whatnot. We heard the heart beat and the little "it" wiggled around and waved at us. I cried and Mitch kept nudging me and saying "did you see that, he waved! And Sarah, do you hear that? It's his heart!" As if I wasn't already paying attention. Haha. He was so cute in there. But I'm 12 weeks today. So I'm pretty much past all the nausea and yuckiness. Just hanging out waiting to get fat and waddle around. Our due date is July 1st. I'm glad I won't be having the baby in all this snow! We have about 5 inches on the ground right now and it's still snowing! Crazy. I don't think I could make it up here without Mitch! He makes sure my car is cleaned off, a path cleared for me to get in it, and it's warmed up when I ready to go somewhere. It's wonderful. He's amazing. So besides the fact that it's always bitterly cold and the fact that I poot all the time everything is going just fine in OH! We can't wait to come home for Christmas and see everyone. We love you guys and miss ya!

YO!

Well, I promise to go and buy a new camera cord in the morning--I know everyone is anxious for some pictures. Especially of our outing to the Emergency Room to get Mitch stitches on his eye! Poor Mitch smacked his head on the towel wrack in the tub and cut his eye so bad he ended up with five stitches. I told him to go with the "bar fight" story, while I'm going with the "I didn't know I had such a good left hook" story. Haha! But other than that little incident things are pretty normal. Mitch has just been working very hard. He didn't get off work until two in the morning yesterday. I'm still looking for a job and have just been painting and trying to decorate. I have two pictures actually hung on the wall! After three different apartments, I've finally decided to try my hand at decorating. Hopefully I will be done before it's time to move again. I looked over our blog and saw that I had hoped to stay in our last apartment for two years and it only turned out to be four months. I am really going to try my best to stay here for our entire lease! Anyway, I hope everything in Memphis is fine. I'm really starting to feel alone up here, especially without a job--it's hard to fill the day sometimes. I keep trying to con Cody into coming to hang with me. I even bought golf shoes so I could go play some rounds with anybody I could find! :) Well, love you all. I can't wait to come home for Christmas!

it's been awhile..

Hello all! So yes, it's been some time since I've blogged. Sorry..but since then, Mitch and I are now moved into yet another apartment in Cincinnati! Okay, so really it's Hamilton, OH but close enough. So I'm just going to have a short blog real quick since I'm not sure how long I'll be able to steal the neighbors internet. Hopefully we'll be able to get internet soon--it's just other things are more of a priority. Like blogging, and finding a new bank, and finding our statefarm person, and me finding a job! I have no idea what I'm going to do for that but hopefully it won't take long. But besides all the crap to get done--everything seems pretty cool up here. Mitch is excited about his job, Mufasa is indifferent, and I'm just excited to have a city with a happening skyline. But i'll put up some pictures and blog some more a little later! Miss you guys!

Work and Play

Oh and I got hired on full time, finally. So now we have health insurance! And Mitch started a new job at EPAC and he's full time too! We went from both getting the boot to new full time jobs! Thank goodness..the only crummy part is Mitch works second shift so we don't get to see much of each other. I work 8 to 5 and he works 2 to 10...but if that's what we have to do for a year or two, that's what we'll do!

Before we moved into the apartment--Mitch actually got some use out of our grill! Mitch has mastered hamburgers. We didn't attempt steaks because they are just took expensive for us to mess up..

Okay, okay--so for all everyone knows Mitch and I just don't have a life. So here comes an update and some pictures! And..I guess I'll try to blog at least once a week. Well, Todd and Brandy's house sold! Much quicker than expected, but still awesome news. Mitch and I ended up back in Southaven. It sucks but at least the apartment is much bigger! Of course it's on the third floor so it was so exhausting moving everything! So we'll probably be staying her for at least two years..Now my only problem is figuring out what to put on all my empty walls. Oh well! Mufasa is enjoying the extra leg room and so is his new pal, Bernard. Yep--because Mitch and I are insane we got a new golden retriever puppy. He's quite mischievous --that's all I have to say about that. But here are a few pictures of the new apartment..

The bedroom is smaller--but still have a nice closet.
Mitch finally got a chair, not really a "man chair"..but it'll work for now.
Yay for cabinets! I actually have a choice of where I want my pyrex dishes.
A fireplace that we can actually look at--the last one was covered up by our couch.

SUP.

Hello all. Well, Todd and Brandy have left and we miss them terribly! :( But on a good note, we are enjoying their house! It's amazing what a difference a little more square footage can make. Mitch and I are just hanging around working and what not. I think I'm about to finally get hired on full time. The other guy in shipping got his call from the Memphis Police Academy so he'll be gone in two weeks. So it's just going to be me and ole Gary in the shipping department. Oh, and on another good note--we're going to visit Todd and Brandy for Easter! Yay! We are so excited to see where they work and what they have going on in Kentucky! Well, we don't really have much else going on..but if you know someone who wants to buy a house, send them our way!

WORK..

Well, if you haven't heard yet--Mitch and I both got the boot from work. They decided to get rid of all family members, which was about 25% of our workforce. I must admit the place was crawling with us Ivy's...me, Mitch, Cody, Todd, Brandy, Nana, and Reed! It probably wouldn't have been so bad if there was some kind of warning, but at 5 o'clock on a Tuesday we all got canned! Well, not Todd, Brandy, Reed, and Nana because they were full time employees which would be given notice later on whether or not they would push the "no family" policy any further..But Todd and Brandy both had offers on the table for big printing company in Kentucky. And all this happened the day right before the last day I could drop classes and still get money back--so yeah, I have taken a break from school for this semester. Better safe than sorry or ruining our good credit..haha! Also, no worries Mitch found another job and he's still going to school. I guess it's good for me, because honestly I really haven't decided what I want to be "when I grow up." So yeah..that's what's been going on these days! It's all been up in the air--but it's nice. This was me and Mitch's first little "hurdle" to jump over together as a married couple! We've bought a car and gotten fired and are still going. Yay, we've totally got this!

Again, I would like to share Mitch and I's Gingerbread House with the world. I just want to make sure our spectacular display of true craftsmanship is documented on our blog.

More Christmas.

Mitch and I did pretty good for Christmas this year. I didn't spend over my budget on gifts--and we both got what we wanted and needed. Mitch got a Playstation 3 and I got The Godfather Collection. :) We both got JEANS and lighter jackets. The only downside to Christmas was of course--we had a little accident on Christmas Eve. Some idiot almost ran over my little coke can of a car, but ended up just running us off the road. We got lucky and just ended up in the middle of the median on I-240. :/ But daddy saved us and the cops were nice and let him pull us out. It was freaking crazy--but we still made it just in time for the prime rib. No foul there. :)

Christmas Tree

Hello again. Due to numerous complains from my mother and Nana--I'm going to blog.
So this is our Christmas Tree! It was hilarious getting it into the apartment. The guy at Lowes didn't cut enough off the bottom, so Mitch and I had to break out the circular saw. First, I tried to cut the branches off with my kitchen shears. Then the branches got too big-so I tried to whittle them down and then cut. But it didn't really work so we rigged the circular saw so we could cut the branches. Once we got it up finally and went to put the ornaments on we realized we didn't have any hooks--so we had to stop and go get some. Then Mufasa thought the ornaments were toys and kept trying to find them after we hung them on the tree. We also didn't have anything to hang our stockings on so I thought what the hell--I'll just nail them to the wall. So yay, here are our pictures from Christmas!

A NEW YEAR

Yippy it's 2010. Yes, I'm aware I've been slacking in the blog department. I guess I'll have to get back into the groove. So be expecting some updates on all the things you've probably already heard about by now--but oh well. I can't just skip over things. I finally found my camera cord again and I've organized my "TO FILE" folder that has really been getting out of hand. But here it goes, Mitch, me, and of course Mufasa are ready to take on the New Year.
